.0wav™ trademark.
The format is open. The marks are not. Apache 2.0 covers the spec and the reference reader; the wordmark and brand 0 do not travel under that license.
Marks owned by ZeroWave
- "0wav" wordmark, including the bar-through-zero glyph.
- ".0wav" as a file format / extension reference in product surfaces.
- "ZeroWave" spelled out as a company / product name.
Allowed
- Reference the format by name: "reads .0wav files," "produces .0wav," "uses the open .0wav reader."
- Implement and distribute the spec under Apache 2.0 without asking permission.
Not allowed without written consent
- Using the wordmark or bar-through-zero glyph in your own product UI, logo, or favicon.
- Implying endorsement, partnership, or certification by ZeroWave.
- Selling third-party SaaS branded as "0wav-something".
